That's up to you. Most of our pet kittens go home desexed at 12 weeks for an extra $250, which covers the surgery at our vet here in Shepparton. If you'd rather use your own vet, we ask for a $400 refundable desexing bond that comes straight back to you when you send us the certificate before eight months.

Yes, and we do it often. We use licensed pet couriers who travel with the kittens as accompanied cargo to Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, Canberra, Hobart and Perth. Expect $350–$650 depending on the city, paid straight to the courier. Western Australia has extra entry paperwork, which we sort out for you at no charge.

A $500 deposit holds your kitten and comes off the final price. It's transferable to another kitten or a later litter at any time, but it isn't refundable in cash — it's what lets us stop showing that kitten to other families.

Our contract asks for it. Ragdolls are trusting, slow to react to traffic and very recognisable, which makes them a theft target. An indoor life plus a secure cat run or catio is ideal, and every one of our kittens is already harness-trained if you'd like to walk them.

No cat is, sorry. Ragdolls produce the same Fel d 1 protein as any other breed, though with no dense undercoat they leave less loose hair around the house. If someone in the family reacts to cats, come and visit us before you apply — far better to find out here than after a kitten comes home.

Ten minutes twice a week with a stainless steel comb does it. Pay attention to the ruff around the neck and the trousers behind the back legs, and comb daily through the spring coat drop. We send you home with the comb we use ourselves.

Kittens are raised on a mix of premium kitten kibble, wet food and some raw. We send home a fortnight of exactly the same food so nothing changes at once — swapping diet on top of a new house is the fastest way to an upset tummy.

Please do, we'd love it. Visits happen by appointment once the litter is six weeks old and has had its first vaccination. You'll meet the mother, see where the kittens sleep, and you can ask to see any registration or DNA paperwork on the spot.

Usually one to two litters, so three to seven months. Places are free, non-binding and ordered by application date. Families on the list see photos and prices a fortnight before kittens are listed publicly.
