Exactly what's done before your kitten leaves us, what comes home in the box, and what we promise in writing.
Health schedule, week by week
Week 2
First worming
Worming starts at two weeks and repeats fortnightly with a kitten-safe product right up until they go home.
Week 6
Vet check & first F3
A full examination by our vet in Shepparton plus the first F3 vaccination covering feline enteritis, rhinotracheitis and calicivirus.
Week 8
Microchip
Implanted and registered on the Australasian Animal Registry, then transferred into your name before pickup.
Week 10
Second F3 & flea treatment
Second vaccination and a first topical flea treatment. Kittens are fully litter trained and eating solids by now.
Week 12
Final check & desexing
A final vet check, desexing if you've chosen that option, and the vaccination certificate signed off ready for travel.
Week 12+
Home day
Never before twelve weeks. Ragdolls mature slowly, and leaving early shows up later as anxiety and poor eating.
What comes home with your kitten
- Two F3 vaccinations with certificate signed by our vet
- Microchip registered in your name, not ours
- Fortnightly worming from two weeks and a topical flea treatment
- Vet health check certificate dated within seven days of pickup
- Desexing before pickup, or a desexing contract if you prefer your own vet
- Six weeks of complimentary pet insurance, active from collection day
- A starter pack: a fortnight of food, a blanket that smells of mum, a comb and a toy
- Written three-year genetic health guarantee
- Lifetime support by phone or text, and a standing offer to take the cat back
The health guarantee
72-hour illness cover
If your own vet finds a pre-existing illness within 72 hours of pickup, we refund in full or replace the kitten from the next litter — whichever you'd prefer.
Three-year genetic guarantee
If a vet diagnoses a life-limiting inherited condition within three years, we replace the kitten from a future litter at no cost. It's set out in writing in the contract you see before paying a deposit.
Return, always
If your circumstances change at any point in the cat's life, it comes back to us. No judgement and no fee — we'd always rather have them here than in a shelter.
What isn't covered
Accidents, injuries, parasites picked up after pickup, obesity-related illness, or anything arising from an outdoor life or a diet change we didn't advise. It's all set out in the contract you see before paying a deposit.
Diet
We raise kittens on premium kitten kibble left out through the day, plus wet food morning and night. Keep that going for the first fortnight — we send the food home with you — then transition slowly over a week if you want to change. Fresh water in more than one spot, and never cow's milk.
Litter training
Every kitten is fully trained on clumping litter before it leaves us. Start with one tray per cat plus one spare, in quiet corners away from food, and keep the same litter for the first fortnight. Accidents are almost always stress, or a tray too close to the food bowl.
The first week home
Keep your kitten in one quiet room with food, water, tray and a bed for the first two or three days, then open the house up gradually. Expect a lot of sleeping. Don't bath, worm or change food in the first week — one new thing at a time.
